Adding a threat to the wilderness wouldn't be such a bad idea, in theory. With the invent of a player-run economy (that did not operate on my-OOC-friends-get-stuff-for-free), caravans and guardsmen could come into play. Noncombatants could hire guards (for a reasonable amount of money), or could actually just sell their wares to travelling merchants.

Thats the theory anyway.

NPC purchases would also be nice. Surely they would need such items the players make. If a demand could be calculated and a virtual supply, it could be figured how many of x item a player would feasably sell to the virtual populace.

But anyways, this topic is going a little off track. This subject warrents (and probably has) a seperate thread.

Not to go back to the original topic, or anything, but I think if we all just vote on TopMud consistantly we will see more and more players.

Last month we held 16th this month were sucking eggs.

I in turn will be more motivated to code you great people some new things to do. I get excited when were on the first page of TopMud! Don't you?
